| Summer Shades childcare is currently under way, but still taking enrollment! Summer Shades is a structured fun time for your child. Lessons and hands on activities are planned every day with themed weeks for your child's enjoyment. Rates are $100 a week, or $22 a day. Drop-in's are accepted with registration and 24 hr. notice.

Club Scientific Bluegrass
Informational meeting at Meet the Teacher Night. Go to http://clubscientificbluegrass.com/schoolPrograms.htm. Combining interactive projects, exciting demonstrations and inquiry-based experiments with a child's natural curiousity in mind, Club Scientific exposes a child to the thrill of scientific exploration and discovery in a nurturing learning environment. This will be an afterschool program hosted by CCCS and open to the community.

We will be offering full day preschool for the upcoming year. We are also going to open up sixth grade for our Elementary School.
We have a change in our staffing for the upcoming school year in our preschool. We will greatly miss Ms. Jeanie Davis, who has taught N-3s the past two years at CCCS. Ms. Jeanie has taught for the the last 20 years, and is going to take a break from preschool, working at GRC next year. She will be hard to replace, but we are currently in conversations with several candidates with years of experience. As soon as Ms. Shannon and myself hire a part-time teacher for the N-3s and K-4s we will let you know!
Ms. Jodi Willoughby will still be our N-2 teacher, and we will offer 2, 3, and 5 day a week preschool classes. Ms. Shell Shepherd will teach our 5 day N-3 class. Ms. Mary Hensley will be teaching our 5 day K-4 class.
We would like to introduce Ms. Sloan Wilburn as our K-5, Kindergarten teacher for the upcoming school year. Ms. Georgia Brown will return teaching 1st Grade. Ms. Alisia Barnett returns teaching 2nd grade, and Ms. Tonya Buttrey returns teaching 3rd-5th. Check out our staff page for more information about our qualified and experienced staff.
